You, Me. Him, Her. has an interesting history, and sadly I no longer have the various drafts I wrote as the story developed. I first wrote it as a response to a girl saying 'no' when I asked her out, at one point I intended for it to be a modern Cinderella, I even attempted to flesh it out and make it a full three act play, bits and pieces of which can be seen in my most recently produced play -One Last Dance-.
Reading One Last Dance first certainly helped me understand the context of this play better, it was a seamless transition from that play to this one and I loved Allison's monologue. But I think this could function much better as a full length play, may I ask why it wasn't extended?
ReplyDeleteI had more, but I cut it down so I could submit it to the playwrights festival, and after it got rejected, I kinda abandonded it.
